Formed in the late 90s, Dictaphone consists of Brussels-bred multi-instrumentalist Oliver Doerell and clarinet-/saxophone player Roger Döring. The band creates a kind of slow motion jazz and melancholic cinematic landscapes. Oliver Doerell and Roger Döring don´t create just music, but a storybook of emotions and characters that can be accessed just by pressing play on the CD player. Each track is a different person, a different canvas, a different case to be solved. Oliver Doerell and Roger Döring have composed numerous scores for theatre plays and films.
