Sleeparchive's electro alter-ego makes an unexpected but hugely welcome
return to these pages after a seven year absence. Skanfrom created a
perfectly formed catalogue of releases between 1998 and 2002 on his own
A.D.S.R imprint, besides contributing to a fledgling CCO imprint with the
timeless 'Electronic Supermarket', a cut very close to our hearts in the
office. 'Are You Alone' shows his fragile affection for the classic electro
pop of Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk or The Human League with three exquisitely
sculpted pop songs, starting with the spine chilling 'Are You Alone?' on the
A-side, shuttling us to magical views of space-age synthlines and washes of
white noise with that feeling of dystopian bedroom dweller solitude. 'I Will
Miss You' on the flipside is a two part admission of lovesick feelings
articulated with the simplest, but most effective chords and gorgeous melody
driven by raw drum machines. Sensations like this don't come around often
and we implore you to get a piece of this before it's fluttered away into
