Having grown with extracurriculars, tours, recording sessions, and themselves, the first sinnbus band ever has become more courageous, more beautiful, more desperate, more secure, and even greater than they were on their debut. Electronics, walls of delay, loops and airs, coltish rhythms and crackles - whereas »Wasserluft« tried to mediate between poles, and the split with Honey For Petzi claimed border territories, »If You Use This Software Often - Buy It« has already been busy setting up structures, digging and building, expanding and finding its external core. Guitar, bass, drums, samples and guests meet there. They draw sonic outlines, they make new shadows dance on the cave's wall. New objects in new lights, new sounds for new words. And while others slip on newly defined layers, get lost in studies and forget how to speak, Seidenmatt remember how to dance, keep distance, tell of manifold manifests without words and bleak clearness. Nothing is more profane than resolutions. No loss is more inane than the loss of suspense. Where projectors start whirring, where doors slowly slide open, where the earth's pull slowly loosen's the hand grip on the cliff's edge - this is where »If You Use This Software Often - Buy It« happens. Seidenmatt conserve this state, hundredfold. They intensify them, they soften them. They are border jubilees, they hum the border's song. »Kiss her already«, the ignorant and the weak of heart shout. They don't know better. Perpetual suspense, tied up in rage. Never hesitate, always be on hold. Experiments pulsate on this album's surface, ideas and directions move into positions below. They prepare. They wait. Then music lifts its head. It starts to remember, it flashes a shy smile, it becomes airborne. Hello roots, heartbeat, perfection. Time to crack up.
