Erik Moller lives in Uppsala outside Stockholm. From there he has been responsible for various releases as Spinform and Unai:
Unai is the name he uses when he's in a dubby and reduced house mode , and the official home for this project is the German Sub Static label, which has released 2 ep's and an album of Erik's productions during the last 2-3 years.
Spinform's debut release is a bit older than this. First time Hobby had the pleasure of listening to his sounds was when the " Urban legends EP" was released on R.U.C. /Recordings Under Construction in 1998. This was the time of Photek ruling the abstract field of Drum'n bass, and together with Icarus from UK and Meyer from Germany, Erik and his Spinform project was the ones spreading the word by using same patterns, sounds and aesthetic ideas.... with Spinform, all these things came together perfectly on his debut album for R.U.C.
Sadly Photek went into a more classical dark sounding straight Drum'n bass sound throwing in house elements and feelings, and the before mentioned names laid low for a while.
About two years ago, Spinform suddenly returned with the " Nattflykt ..." track on the "Smakfull elektronikî with a more technical approach mixing an acoustic feel with the digital edits made possible in hard disc recording, now creating a warm sounding Electronica.
Since picking up on "Nattflykt .." (which is included on this EP) Hobby has been in contact with Erik to compile a release that is now the "Superstjerna EP".
Annorlunddag and Nattflykt .. dominates the A side with a clearly digitally manipulated idea , but Frestelser .. should not be overheard, as it itself links to the more acoustic sounding tracks on the release... something they are good at up north, as fellow Swede , Christoffer Berg confirms this with a dreamy remix ( as Christoffer Brus), ending this EP.
