Following the acclaimed »Serrisme« CD (with Christina Vantzou, Lieven Martens et al.) created with Serreklanken, Edições CN now presents a new collaborative release. This time centred around the nature reserve Doode Bemde. Over the course of a year, musician and composer Roxane Métayer composed new music shaped by the rhythms of the landscape and seasons. Featuring vocals by Katya Shirshkova and a booklet with poetry by Sara Eelen.

At the centre of the work is Roxane’s intricate violin playing, in conversation with the reserve itself: grasshoppers, bumblebees, chiffchaffs, blackbirds, frogs, and the mechanical waves of passing trains.

During the second part of the album, the singular voice of Katya Shirshkova enter the scene.
