Regis, Female, Function and Silent Servant were running the label Sandwell District, an offshoot of Downwards – a reliable home for harsh yet atmospheric techno in the naughties, similar to a sound that ruled the techno scene in that era and connected to the ›sound of Berghain‹. Their collaborative LP »Feed Forward« from 2010 saw them at their most melodic and cinematic. The album was not only one of the label's last releases, like the sweet cherry on top of SD's impressive catalogue.
