Brooklyn's Parts & Labor create a boisterous delivery of electric guitars, sparse electronics, and rackety vocals. These two songs are culled from the final recording sessions with now departed drummer Christopher R. Weingarten. The blissfully noisy »We Were Here« features German vocals from Kurt Beals of Pterodactyl, while the steady shoegaze of »Skimming Stone« finds Parts & Labor in a rare slowed–down but no less overpowering mood. The band recently recruited drummer Joseph Wong and Sarah Lipstate (Noveller, Iggy Pop and the Free Band) on guitar—this was the final lineup before the band broke up in 2012.
