Takeo.K is a multi-disciplinary artist originally from Japan and now based in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. Their catalogue spans releases on labels such as Midnight Elevator, Backtrack, Theory Therapy and Second Ends Records, with tracks appearing in sets by pi pi pi boss Deep Creep and NTS resident Ian Kim Judd. Moving fluidly between shoegaze, trip-hop, breakbeat and deconstructed club forms, Takeo.K draws on a wide palette of influences – from Muslimgauze’s rhythmic minimalism to the atmospheric weight of Bark Psychosis.
